Chinese balls and captive rings as a whimsical work of art with Mr Walnut and Mrs Magnolia.  Kapiti Beach black sand represented by not fully polishing the base.  Sanding sealer, 1000 grit and then 3m pads. H 230 W 240 D 180.

Pohutukawa turned on the lathe using several different axes to make sure the natural edge was properly balanced as best as possible on all sides.  Finished with sanding sealer, 1000 grit and a 3m pad. Diameter is 260mm, height 90mm.

Spirals and strip lighting. Made with kwila, rimu and oak. The light and the colours are controlled by Alexa voice commands.  Finish is with a friction polish. Height 1300mm, foot 300mm wide.
