Hand carved with mallet and chisels on 40mm thick totara.  No sanding on carved areas, all natural chiseled finish with copper highlight and finished with two types of Briwax.  450mm x 450mm x 40mm thick.

Five blocks from various species, have been embellished with pyrography and painted using iridescent and metallic paints. Finished with lacquer.  Can be wall mounted using Command Mounts (supplied) or surface mounted.  105mm x 105 mm x 19mm each. 

Rimu twist topped with a hand polished paua shell. Made from a recycled rimu shelf each crossover has been fully separated yet it remains as one piece.  Finish: Beeswax/Canuba polish. L: 450mm x W:90mm x D:30mm

Inspired by Picasso’s cubist painting. Contrasting timbers laminated then multiple bandsaw cuts and glue-ups to form the wall image of a flamenco dancer. Repeat Immersion in mineral oil for weeks, to ensure stabilisation and a durable result. 490x305x14mm.

39 Harakere (flax) flowers carved from South Island Red Beech on branches carved from Black Walnut, sitting amongst flax leaves carved from pale Rimu timber on a rimu board from the same log. Measures 370Hx380Wx125D mm.

The Pikorua has a delightful form and meaning. The challenge is to carve it while adding my own twist to it. Designed as a wall pendant/hanging. Made from a hardwood offcut (mahogany sapele). Finish: Tung oil. L: 240mm x W:75mm x D:27mm
