'Au Naturel - Looking Up' is a light and airy sculpture representing a lady sunbathing and looking up at a point of interest. Hand laminated Birch Ply and finished with Sapele Veneer. 800x110x400mm.

'Au Naturel - on a Towel' is a sculpture of a female reclining on a beach towel. Made from hand laminated birch plywood and finished with a White Oak veneer this piece is curvaceous, and elegant. 600x250x180mm.

5000 year old Swamp Kauri resurrected from a peat swamp in Papakura.  The sacred awakening from earth to the light teaches us about hope, growth and starting fresh.  Solid granite plinth. Polished natural wax finish.  85cmW X 75cmH X 20cmD

Dali inspired cherry wood lamp.  Burnt, scarred tracks are enveloped with the warmth of cherry.  Can be used as a downflow incense burner.  Finished with scented beeswax.  14cmW x 11cmD x 17H

Ancient Coromandel Swamp Kauri, shaped to reveal a former branch junction, divided into two pieces and mounted on Tasmanian blackwood base with brass rods.  Finished with gold leaf and Harlem Danish oil, buffed.  28 cm high × 25 cm diameter.

Erosion 8, made from 40 Douglas Fir segments, cut, glued, sanded and textured to give the effect of an eroded shell found on the beach. Stands 270mm tall and 160mm wide, finished with mineral oil and semi gloss clear.

Reclaimed Kauri joist from demolished 1870s Victorian Merchant Warehouse in Auckland symbolising the cyclical nature of life and the interconnectedness of past, present and future.  On a 10mm powder- coated steel plinth. Natural wax finish.  185cmH X 26cmW X 20cmD

‘Kitchen Sink’ depicts the kitchen location as a place of consoling a distraught wife by a caring husband. Optimism will ensure a calmness to prevail. Pine, finished with mineral oil. 119cm h (with stand), 8cm w, 7cm d.

Lilly is not a known specimen, just an illusion. Looking at the work of a well-known French turner I was inspired to create something that escapes reality. Manuka wood (Leptospermum scoparium). Oil paint. Danish oil. Height 200mm X 80mm wide.

Reclining nude.  Totara.  Oil and burnished wax finish.  30cm long, 10cm high, 7cm deep.

The Mobius (a one sided surface with a single continuous edge) was hand carved from Australian Red Cedar and placed on a Black Walnut plinth. This finish is Wright Wood Finishing Wax. Overall height is 230mm, Mobius is 110mm across

Ecru (raw/cream) natural olive wood colour is purposefully emphasised. The raw wood is stable and unfinished (only sanded). Water-based colour. Created depicting ‘pure’ emerging beauty from under rough bark. Unfinished (except colour). 43 cm h , 9cm w, 7cm d.

This honey golden Wisteria piece invites the feeling touch of a hand. Being 150 mm diameter and 45 mm depth is finished with boiled linseed oil and buffed. It radiates the warmth of beautifully figured wood.

Carved jarrah ball with smoke bush spines. Pyrography, white oil, Danish oil.  Based on an electron microscope image of a pollen grain.  90 mm diameter.
