Turned lamination of heart Rimu and spalted Silky Oak. Full PPE worn when turning! The exterior finish has three coats of Briwax, polished. Interior finish is spar varnish to provide requisite moisture protection. Size 360x120x120mm

Rescued Mā​tai was transformed by fire and crafted into a natural-edge vase supported by 2.5 cm feet. Buffed to a smooth finish with Shellawax Glow friction polish.  Height: 26 cm x 9 cm dia at Top

Inspired by the ferns growing around my fishpond with the colours of the garden reflected in the sparkling water.  Rimu, Paua shell, Textured, Interference paint.  Mirotone 3241. 115mm x 90mm

Apricot natural edge vase 190mm H x 120mm Dia. 5 sprayed coats of lacquer.

This is my second hollow form and is a traditional Amphora shape without handles.  The inside has been lined with UV cured epoxy resin to allow it to actually hold water.  95mm diameter and 180 high.

Turned from quilted Eucalyptus “firewood!” To achieve this piece, I needed to turn it on two axes, so I could line up the centre of the vessel, due to the wings being on two planes. H260mm W85mm D90mm

Calabash inspired. Coastal banksia (Banksia integrifolia). Willow leaf oak pewa. Pure Danish oil (tung & citrus). 190 mm diameter 340 mm tall.

This hollow form was first sighted as driftwood on a Taranaki beach. After drying and cutting it, I realized it was wood from a barbary tree which is a lovely yellow color, so using blue resin it actually enhanced the beauty of the wood. Height 90mm x Width 150mm

Copper beech (Fagus sylvatica 'Purpurea') burl. Once turned natural edged hollow form. Sanded while green. Pure Danish oil (tung oil & citrus thinners). 400 mm diameter, 210 mm tall. 

Black Locust  Forked Branch made into a Hollow Form for a trophy. Size: 190mmhigh x 170 wide with a 70mm diameter base.

Miro with Bronze acrylic crackle on black. 6 coats of 50% thinned sprayed lacquer. 175mm Dia x 70mm deep. Buffed on the Beal System.

Hollow form made from figured Cherry and hollowed through a 7/8" opening. Finished with Haarlem Danish Oil. 185mm x 150mm

A Cherry Fork made into a Hollow Form for a Trophy.  Size: 230mm high and 230 wide at the top, 75mm diameter base.

Eucalyptus vase and rimu base.  19cm tall and 12cm diameter 

A pair of oak vases crafted to be a matching mismatched set. One boasting a black background with iridescent embellishment. The other divided and carved three different patterns. Finished with gloss lacquer. 17.5 cm high and 9 cm diameter each.

Vase with pyrography, acrylic and interference paint. Inside, a metallic paint patina. Inspiration for the embellishment came from vines enveloping and creeping around the form, creating tension and beauty. 230mm H x 190mm W. Timber unknown. Acrylic spray lacquer finish.

Small leaved gum (Eucalyptus parvula). Once turned hollow form. Soybean oil, beeswax.  340 mm diameter, 130 mm high.
