Earrings inspired by the Hihi / Stitchbird. Made using Puriri and Caprosma (which produce his favourite berries) as well as Magnolia, Pine and Barberry. Measuring 3mm thick, 46mm tall, 18mm across

A Tawa pepper grinder becomes a storybook canvas; its natural grain entwined with a sweeping green beanstalk. Delicate leaves climb upwards, while a tiny adventurer waits below. Embellished using pyrography and polychromos pencils. Crushgrind mechanism. 5.5 wide x 29cm tall.

A Kowhai forked branch made into a double candle holder. Size: 270 high x 190 wide at top with 70mm diameter foot.

Lúmëahtalë ("Temporal Chain" in LOTR Quenya/High-Elvish) is made from Kauri wood, 18g Stainless Steel rings, resin, & beeswax finish; 19cm diameter×18.5mm thick.  Features 3 chainmail patterns: Half-Persian 4-1 Chain, octagonal/hexagonal flower-knots; ring count= 80 (flower-knots), 192 (chain), 272 total.

This mallet was turned from a Lignum Vitae lawn bowl, with Rewarewa handle and lacquer finish. The integrity of the bowl was maintained keeping the embellishments where possible and insetting the bowl number in the end of the handle.  100mm diameter x 260mmlong.

Kohekohe burr bowl, rescued from wind blown tree, Manu Grove Waikanae. Only part of tree worth turning. Finish is Harlem Danish oil.  Sizes: width 280mm x height 105mm. 

Matai natural edge clock with barometer, Walnut clock face with matai numerals. 315mm x 180 Dia x 40mm deep. 5 coats sprayed lacquer.

9 Candle Menorah on pedestal, from recycled Rimu with aluminum inserts. Religious symbolic and functional piece. Finish is lacquer sprayed. 320mm wide x 250mm high.

Three-legged shallow functional entrance hall commodity bowl from Michaelia wood. Danish oil finish with high speed fiction polishing. Dimensions width 300mm x height 65mm. 

Cookie jar made into a milk churn shape. Made from Maple with Pohutukawa handles. Embellished with pyrography, acrylic paint and laser engraving. Lacquer finish. 240mm × 150mm.

Pair of oak, Elm, Walnut candle sticks. 310mm H x 100mm Dia base. 4 coats sprayed lacquer.

European olive (Olea europaea), djarraly (Eucalyptus marginata). Pure Danish oil (tung oil & citrus thinners). Mortar: 165 mm diameter, 100 mm high, pestle: 45 mm 187 mm diameter, long.

The connection of it all, the separation we experience and the absolute belonging of each of us. One Heart is a combination of native and exotic woods, backed with Rimu. Main piece (necklace) measuring 120mm wide, 83mm height, 6.5mm thick

Inspired by Picasso’s cubism paintings. Laminated contrasting timbers followed by multiple runs with the band saw and a dozen glue-ups. Sealed with Matt Acrylic Benchtop Clear – providing a durable food safe finish, resistant to stains, oil and heat. 180x44x44mm

Purple streaked plum matched with Purple heart to make this pair of Grinders, finished with Osmo oil for durability.  210mm high and 60mm diameter at the base.

A square platter turned to a thickness of 5mm. Wood is Spalted Pukatea. Finish is Spray Lacquer. Size is 250mm x 250mm x 25mm thick.
