This coaster was designed for personal daily use. It captures the fluid movement of Chinese traditional auspicious cloud patterns - a symbol of blessing & harmony. Hand-carved black walnut and finished with hardwax oil. Dimenton: 14.6 in diameter and 1cm in depth. 

Combined with lathe turning and hand carving. This unique pour-over stand is a functional art piece for daily brew routine. Wood unknown, finished with traditional wax. Dimention: 26cm H x18cm D x 12.2cm W. 

Hand-carved with blood sandalwood, this hairpin features a silhouette inspired by the traditional Hei Matau (Māori fish hook). hardwax oil finish. One of the photo shows the color when just finished.  Dimention: 22cm L x 4cm W x 0.7cm D. 

Hand-carved using chisel and millet with solid walnut and finished with hard wax oil,This hairpin features the Chinese traditional Ruyi (如意）motif. Symbolizing "as you wish". Dimention: 24cm L x 3cm W x 0.8cm D. 

Partially lathe turned and partially hand-whittled. Inspired by the traditional Māori Pikorua (twist) pattern which represents the eternal connection of two paths. The last photo indicated the making progress. Wood unkown, finished with traditional wax. Dimention: 23cm L x 2cm W and 1.2cm the widest part. 

Turned off-centre casustina to create an asymmetrical form that reveals the natural movement and character of the timber. Finished with EEE-Ultra Shine and traditional wax, bring out its warm colour and subtle grain. Size: 110 diameter, 80mm high.
