Made from the following timber:- Pin Oak, Mahogany, Tasmanian Black-wood, and Purple Heart. Size:- 365 x 320 x 28 mm.  Finish:- Gillys Chopping Board Oil.

Three off-centre candlesticks made from camphor, poplar and plum, embellished with pyrography, carving, iridescent paints and copper, finished with triple E and traditional wax. Height(s): 23, 33, 27 cm; 6-9cm across at the base. Inspiration: Alice in Wonderland.

Lamp made from totara from Opotiki, carved and ebonized exterior with inside original colour to enhance light reflection from remote controlled battery candle.  Finished in French polish.  H=240mm  W=120mm

This coaster was designed for personal daily use. It captures the fluid movement of Chinese traditional auspicious cloud patterns - a symbol of blessing & harmony. Hand-carved black walnut and finished with hardwax oil. Dimenton: 14.6 in diameter and 1cm in depth. 

Black Walnut Crushgrind pepper mill.  Finished with 5 coats of Danish Oil then buffed with a buffing system. Base 55mm diameter, height 280mm.

Take a well used discarded lignum vitae indoor bowling ball; hollow; supported by rewarewa with some purple heart as feature, add a clock so all stands above the clutter on the desk or bench.  Sanded to 300 then Yorkshire grit and Beall.  H(240)DIA(90)

Combined with lathe turning and hand carving. This unique pour-over stand is a functional art piece for daily brew routine. Wood unknown, finished with traditional wax. Dimention: 26cm H x18cm D x 12.2cm W. 

Swamp kauri salvaged from a farm shed, destined for firewood after usable timber was removed. Clockface shaped to house the mechanism, with ebony and kauri inserts highlighting time segments. Finished with traditional wax. Dimensions: 220mm wide × 260mm high × 40mm thick.

Coasters made of Pin Oak.  Coaster box made of Black Walnut. Size: 125 x 120 x 53 mm.

Tulip lamp, base turned out of Pohutukawa, leaves light coloured veneer, bulbs Magnolia. Overall height 510mm, vase alone 210 with diameter 280.

Pepper Mill in the style of a 17th century dovecote or pigeon tower.  Used to by the nobility to house pigeons for food in England and France. Pearwood, acrylic paint, crushgrind mechanism. 290mm x 65mm

Fresh Oak, turned to 3mm, encouraged to move and bend to create a fashion statement.  The Fascinator is pierced and painted Antique White to create a wearable piece of art.  Size  260 x 230mm.  Stand Black Maire 300 x 65mm.

Black maire sphere 62mm diameter with pohutukawa slides that extend 15mm either side when moved back and forth. Finished with Fiddes wax. 

This piece of Ancient Kauri with Chatoyance has been used to showcase the turned fruit.  The different colours of the fruit further highlighting the Kauri's grain. Add real fruit and see if Family can tell real from Unreal. 300 x 120 

This vase consists of a glass inside a piece of Tasmanian Blackwood which was felled by a tornado in 2023. The timber  colours are mimicked by a band of iridescent paint. Finish is Microtone sanding sealer, Dimensions(mm) H(230) x W(90)
 

Rimu timber salvaged from an old window sill. The strip of laminated paua adds a splash of colour that is complemented by the blue ribbon, end papers and buckram spine. Finish: Satin Polyurethane. Sleeve size: 215mm X 150mm X 32mm.

The mouse ran up the clock. Hence the tails. Purple mouse inspired high heels made with purpleheart, osage orange, oak and plywood with vinyl, ribbon and rubber. Finish: Fishy's lacquer, Briwax and paint. 250mm long, 100mm wide and 120mm high
