"Echinoidea"  Carved/textured old growth Cypress bowl with a sea urchin shell theme, natural colour, oiled, sealed with several coats of satin lacquer.  270mm(10.5")diam x 115mm(4.5")H

Rimu Bowl embellished and finished with Danish Oil.  Size : Height 115 mm,  Diameter: 230 mm,  Depth: 105 mm

Contrasting textural experiment inspired by a piece of ceramics that evoked an emerging Chrysanthemum flower bud. Walnut, carved, Mirotone Danish oil, 80mm x 70mm.

Sweet Chestnut spiral bowl using paul howards router jig. 290mm Dia x 40mm deep. Poly varnish.

Black Walnut bowl with clear resin and artificial flowers, 410mm Dia xx 50mm deep, 6 coats of 50% thinned sprayed lacquer. Buffed on the Beall System.

Love flowers. My favorite. I know I won't win but I want to show it to everyone. H: 4.8 cm, D: 16.5 cm. Wood: plum. Finish: danish oil.

A sweet chestnut bowl with striking grain set in Amber brown resin.260mm Dia  50mm deep. 5 coats of sprayed lacquer.

Red Beech burl with grooves, 320mm Dia x 30mm deep. 6 coats of 50% thinned lacquer. Buffed on Beal system.

Rosewood platter with Acrylic blues and black. 290mm x 25mm deep Acrylics are pearl, 6 coats of 50%thinned lacquer.

A flared top Black Maire bowl with ribbed outer rim framing the striking grain inside.  Finish:  Danish Oil.  Dimensions:  185mm wide x 80mm high.

Casuarina fruit bowl with pyrography highlights under dark brown stain. The bare wood was covered with four coats of thinned tung oil and finished with Renaissance Wax. The stem is painted, lacquered and inserted into a brass ring.  270w 160h

Box Elder, wide rimmed bowl carved & embellished with pyrography & metallic acrylic paint. Inspired by sunflower the leaf layering & textures. 180mm W x 55mm H. Acrylic spray lacquer finish.

Continuing a series of "Grassfields" inspired decoration.  Kahikatea, carved (etched), Verdigris wax, Mirotone 3241, Carnauba wax. 175mm x 18mm.

A hand sized piece made from Camphor Laurel, external pyrography and painted black. Finished with the Beall buffing system 130mm x 43mm.
