"Devils Brew" Carved/Textured old growth large Cypress form depicting a demonic vessel of the underworld, to encourage imagination, pick up and feel or leave well alone? Danish oiled and sealed with several coats of satin Lacquer  340mm(13.5")H x 240mm(9.5)diam.

A macrocarpa form inside a pohutukawa form.  Constructed as shown to us by Paul Barton.  Finish is spray lacquer.  175mm wide and 155mm high. 

Magnolia - sealed, sanded to 240 then Yorkshire grit.  H(200)DIA(130)

Kauri Vase, turned, carved & dry brushed with acrylic. Natural timber finished with mineral oil and wax. 175mm high x 135mm wide.

Decorative hollow form using garden inspired Philodendron leaves ("fruit-salad" plant).  Rimu, Textured, Interference paints (blue & green,) Mirotone 3241, 110mm x 90mm.

Fragile Poplar Burl, 20 x 20 x 0.6 cm. Outside turned 1st,  then well wrapped with Duct tape and hollowed through small opening 7 cm, sanded to 400 grit buffed and finished with Organoil hard burnishing oil. 

Miro pot with Turquiose and parchment crackle 170mm Dia x 75mm deep, 6 coats of 50% thinned sprayed lacquer and buffed.

Hand-turned from a Magnolia branch, this piece depicts a gracefully flowing gown, with the wood's natural grain enhancing the curves. Pyrography with acrylic accents enhances detail, finished with Haarlem Danish oil and buffed. 36cm High x 18cm Dia

A gnarly old piece of Elm. Wall thickness 5 mm,  200mm H x 190mm Dia. Antique acrylic gold band, 6 coats of sprayed lacquer. Buffed with Beall System.

Tasmanian Blackwood hollow form with a Puriri burl top.  A study in opposites - light and dark, night and day, good and evil. 15cm tall and 15cm at its widest point.  Finished off with Wairua polish.

Hollowed sea shape with Paua eye.  Recycled last century house Kauri 130mm x 80mm with a pyrography patterned surface showing the way. 

This was turned from Camphor Laurel. It was finished with Danish oil and Beall buffed. The dimensions are 175 mm wide and 155 mm high.

This secret hollow form oak vase was turned green and allowed to morph into an oval shape as it dried. Several coats of Danish oil was applied over a six week period to give it lustre. 8.5cm tall x 10cm wide.

"Horcrux" Is this Lord Voldemort's secret 8th Horcrux? Where is the fragment of Lord Voldemort's soul now?    420mm(16.5")W x 220mm(8.5")H, carved/torched Japanese Cedar with Black Walnut burl wings, oiled and sealed off with several Polyurethane coats.  

Lemonwood and red beech hollow form with a teak finial, three natural inclusions. 380mm H x 180mm Dia 4mm wall thickness. 6 coats of 50% sprayed lacquer then buffed.

Hollow form vase show casing the beautiful grain and colouring of this little known wood.  250mm heigh 140 wide.

Rescued Mātai, transformed by fire, has been crafted into a natural, bulb-shaped vase. Flowing grain showcases warm honey and golden-brown tones, contrasted by dark streaks and scorched edges. Polished with Shellawax Glow friction polish. 26cm High x 11cm Wide.

Kauri vessel supported by beech legs, legs pinned to side of vessel.  Unusual grain in the kauri piece.  140mm diameter, 220mm high
