Natural edge bowl with a rounded base. Made of Pear wood with a Danish oil finish. Size: 95mm high, 165mm at the widest.

Pepper tree burl. Turned and hollowed wet so that the surface resembles a potato chip. This would showcase well in a home's foyer. A hint of bronze to the edges of voids further enhances the eye candy. 500 x 280

Natural edge bowl with a rounded base. Made of Pōhutukawa with a Danish oil finish. Size: 70mm high, 180mm at the widest.

Coastal banksia (Banksia integrifolia) hollow form with a live edge opening. Once turned in a side grain branch crotch. Nylon brushed finish. Pure Danish oil (tung oil & citrus thinners).  280 mm diameter, 190 mm tall. 

Turned off-centre casustina to create an asymmetrical form that reveals the natural movement and character of the timber. Finished with EEE-Ultra Shine and traditional wax, bring out its warm colour and subtle grain. Size: 110 diameter, 80mm high.

Red Beech burl. Eye Candy to a woodturner at its best. Turned to one of my signature shapes with an added band to the rim to draw the eye. Sits on 3 feet to show off glorious grain and form.  280 x 110 x 3mm 

This natural-edge hollow form was turned from the junction of a Spalted Walnut branch and mounted on a carved base. The work was finished with Halem Danish Oil and buffed to a smooth sheen.  20cm diameter × 20cm high

Shepherds Crook with lantern hook.  Good yard stick for the farm, lots of character. Made from a single piece of plum tree pruning from Mum's place. 1400mm high, 20mm thick. Tung oil, boiled linseed oil and beeswax. 

Silver Beech Burr bowl finished with Danish Oil. Height; 100 mm, diameter; 320 mm, depth; 70 mm.

Jacaranda vessel, carved & embellished with pyrography, acrylic and interference paint.  Inspired by textures, colours & patterning of organic lifeforms. 170mm W x 130mm H.

Small bowl made from YEW wood and finished with Danish Oil. height; 60 mm, diameter; 201 mm, depth; 50 mm.

This burl was a gift, species unknown.  Every angle reveals a different, beautiful combination of colours and grain.  225mm diameter, 130mm high. Finished in a water-based polyurethane.

Inspired by a birdseye view of a marlin chasing a bait ball and a storm cancelling fishing,  so if you cant catch them, burn them!  Beech plate, 250mm diameter and 30mm high finished with osmo oil, on a driftwood stand.

A delicate thin turned natural edge open form. I turned this when it was green, then dried. Three small carved feet help elevate the piece. The wood is Irish yew and is finished with Beall Buff. The piece 100mm wide by x 80mm high

Spalted Liquid Amber. Outside – Beall buff system. Inside- Eye Candy 14K Gold, clearcoat and modified LED tealight.  The illusion of an evil face led to the title and adding the gold flake to represent the money.  Haarlem oil finish. 240mm H, 150mm diameter at top.

Red Mallee Burl. Turned so that the underside can be appreciated in its natural form. The delicate gum leaves have been meticulously carved to further enhance the depth of the 3 picture framed trio of bowls. 300 x 260x 80mm 

English Walnut natural edge bowl 140mm H x 210mm Dia, 4 coats of 50% thinned lacquer and buffed.

900 yr Totara natural edge bowl 120mm H x 260mm Dia, Highly polished to show the grain. 7 coats of 50% thinned sprayed lacquer and buffed.
