A string of five goblets turned on multi axis from a single piece of mahogany. The goblets rest in the centre of a multi axis illusion of five concentric bowls, possibly macrocarpa. 410mm x 120mm.

A Femishere Streptohedron shape that had been hollowed and pierced to resemble a fossil, with a nod to the patterns seen on an ammonite. Wood is Spalted Taraire. Finish is Spray Lacquer. Size 120mm x 120mm

Made out of rimu and finished in danish oil this model is based on the Apache helicopter.  L 47cm, W 41cm, H 19cm

Made out of rimu and finished with danish oil this model is made after the b17 bomber.  L 32cm, W 40cm, H 17cm.

Melia, NZ Rimu, Cedar. Leaf - Turned internal profile, bandsawn basic shape, carved, sanded, water based dyes. Ball - Melia X-centre with NZ Rimu quarter inserts. Turned, natural. Finish - Gloss Acrylic Lacquer, 160mm x 185mm x 80mm.

Dual natural edged Avocado ornamental and functional aviary bowl. A golden hoop crowns my woodturning and bird watching hobbies. Finish: satin clear lacquer over acrylic color. 9 birds and birdbath of mixed timber. Height 180mm x Wideth180mm

Made out of poplar and rimu, this model is based on The gauntlet drop ship from the Starwars universe.  L 32cm, W 33cm, 18 cm

Turned on three axes, with the outer surfaces of the vessels textured with pyrography, then painted with iridescent acrylic paint and a gloss lacquer finish. The inside of the vessels are painted with iridescent gold paint. H90mm W140mm D130mm 

California Quail sculpture is carved from Tupelo wood.  A smooth carving with minor texture on some feather edges, painted with Acrylic paint.  The rocks are carved from Poplar and legs are brass and epoxy.  250mmH x 200mmL x 170mmW

This sculpture, Chukor is a smooth carving with minimal feather texturing. The wood is Tupelo and the rocks are carved Poplar, finished with Acrylic paint, glass eyes and 200mm H x 250mm L x 220mm W.

Hand-carved with blood sandalwood, this hairpin features a silhouette inspired by the traditional Hei Matau (Māori fish hook). hardwax oil finish. One of the photo shows the color when just finished.  Dimention: 22cm L x 4cm W x 0.7cm D.

A broken axe handle that has been lying around, started hollowing it six years back.  Axe head is oak to “red rover Kelly works” shape.  800 long over all, axe head 280 wide

Inspired from thoughts of Space Debris falling to Earth, landing in the dark ocean depths (70% of surface). Dynamic careen causing flowing ripples.  Cherry, Kahikatea, Oak and burl from the firewood pile.  Sanded to 240. Matte varnish. H(300)DIA(220)

Crafted from neighbouring cedar and pōhutukawa, this piece is finished with traditional wax and inspired by a diver’s badge from my Naval service. It features a shoulder plate and detailed diving helmet, with external fittings, light, and rear hose connections. Dimensions: 200mm × 230mm

Turned wet Oak crotch. Let the tree emerge during cutting. Allowed to warp like nature during drying.  Sanding sealer, sanded to 300 then Yorkshire grit.  H(80)DIA(140)

Maple, Rewa Rewa, Usage Orange, Copper Wire, Magnolia dried leaf; random branches. Multi Axis turned, carved, pyrography, Bandsawn profiling and shape, and waterbased dyes. Finish - Resin (Leaves) and Satin lacquer.460mm highx 250mm wide x 300mm deep.

This little ornamental bowl was turned from an old Totara post then finished with hand carving to give it it's organic wavey edge. Finished with Danish oil it measures approx. 130mm across and 85mm high
